WS Control Systems: Other Models
For customers operating machines fitted with obsolete DC controllers, WS offers a complete AC variable frequency control system and motor upgrade, designed to bring older winding equipment up to modern performance and safety standards.
The kit is usually fitted as part of a full machine refurbishment; however, a modified system can be fitted to customers’ low-value machines without rebuilding the entire machine.
Each control system is fully installed and commissioned by WS engineers, ensuring precise integration, correct setup, and reliable long-term operation.
The new system features a state-of-the-art electronic drive that removes all electromagnetic contactors and the often troublesome mechanical reversing switches found in legacy systems. All operator controls are mounted on a single, ergonomic control panel for easy access and intuitive operation.
A range of configurations is available to suit different machine types and requirements — from straightforward replacements for conventional foot-pedal systems through to advanced microprocessor-based units that replace early-generation electronic controls.
Every system is built using components from trusted, proprietary suppliers, guaranteeing long-term serviceability and ease of maintenance.
As an optional enhancement, WS also offers a counter conversion module to replace obsolete electronic or mechanical counters, ensuring continued accuracy and reliability.
All systems can be supplied finished in grey primer or in any RAL colour to match existing workshop equipment.
